அசங்கர்

அசங்கர் தனது உடன் பிறந்தவரான வசுபந்துவுடன் இணைந்து யோகசாரம் எனும் மகாயான பௌத்த விஞ்ஞானவாத தத்துவப் பிரிவை நிறுவியவர். வசுபந்துவுடன் இணைந்து திரிபிடகத்தின் அபிதம்மத்தை விரிவாக விளக்கிய பௌத்த தத்துவ ஆசிரியர்.

பண்டைய காந்தார நாட்டின் புருஷபுரம் எனும் தற்கால பாகிஸ்தானில் உள்ள பெசாவர் நகரத்தில் சத்திரிய தந்தைக்கும் வேதிய தாய்க்கும் கி பி நான்காம் நூற்றாண்டில் பிறந்தவர்.[1] துவக்கத்தில் சர்வாஸ்திவாத பௌத்தப் பிரிவில் இருந்தவர். பின்னர் மகாயான பௌத்தத்தில் இணைந்தவர்.[2][3]
