Public Health Workforce Characterization

DSEPD has been supporting national efforts to understand the size and composition (enumeration) of the governmental public health workforce. Enumerating the public health workforce is a necessary prerequisite for improving our ability to identify gaps, forecast future workforce trends and needs, guide training and development efforts, and, ultimately, to strengthen the workforce to improve the public's health.
