அசாமிய மொழி

அசாமிய மொழி இந்திய-ஆரிய மொழிக் குடும்பத்தில் ஒன்றாகும். இம்மொழியை இந்தியாவின் அஸ்ஸாம் மாநிலத்தில் வாழும் பெரும்பான்மையோர் பேசகின்றனர். அம்மாநிலத்தின் உத்தியோகப்பூர்வ மொழியாகவும் உள்ளது. உலகம் முழுவதிலும் மொத்தமாக 20 மில்லியனுக்கும் அதிகமான மக்கள் இம்மொழியைப் பேசுகின்றனர்[3] அருணாச்சலப் பிரதேசம், பிற வடகிழக்கு இந்திய மாநிலங்கள், பூட்டான், பங்களாதேஷ் போன்ற இடங்களிலும் இம்மொழி பேசுவோர் உள்ளனர்.
