Sun Hee Rim, PhD, MPH

Sun Hee Rim, PhD, MPH is an epidemiologist/health services researcher in CDC’s Division of Cancer Prevention and Control’s Epidemiology and Applied Research Branch. Since joining CDC, the majority of her work has focused on evaluating cancer burden in subpopulations, access to and utilization of health care resources, and understanding physician- and patient- level factors that influence decision-making and practice patterns. Dr. Rim’s current research interests are in medical decision-making, patient-reported outcomes, and comparative effectiveness research. She has a special interest in identifying and addressing the needs of gynecologic cancer patients and improving public health initiatives around hereditary cancer syndromes.

Dr. Rim completed her undergraduate education at Brandeis University, received a Master in Public Health from the University of South Florida College of Public Health, and a doctorate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
