কুশীনগর
কুশীনগর (হিন্দি: कुशीनगर, উর্দু: کُشی نگر), ভারতের উত্তর প্রদেশের গোরাকপুর জেলার একটি শহর। এটি বৌদ্ধ ধর্মের অন্যতম প্রধান তীর্থস্থান যেখানে বৌদ্ধ পরিনির্বান লাভ করেন[1]।

ঐতিহাসিক তাৎপর্য
দ্বিতীয় চন্দ্রগুপ্ত-র রাজত্বকালে বিখ্যাত চীন দেশীয় পরিব্রাজক ফা-হিয়েন ভারত ভ্রমণ করেন। ভারতে তিনি পেশোয়ার, মথুরা, কনৌজ, শ্রাবস্তী, কাশী, কপিলাবস্তু, কুশীনগর, বৈশালী, পাটলীপুত্র এবং তাম্রলিপ্ত-এ দুই বছর অতিবাহিত করেন।[2]
