1 GENType clusters have two or more cases with matching spoligotype and 24-locus locus mycobacterial interspersed repetitive unit-variable number tandem repeat type within a county during the specified 3-year time period .
2 Alert levels are based on a log-likelihood ratio (LLR), which calculates the geographic concentration of a genotype in a county compared to the rest of the country during a 3-year period.
3 There were 4,723 cases in alerted clusters: 1,034 cases were in 112 (7.3%) High Alert clusters; 1,089 cases were in 361 (23.4%) medium alert clusters and 2,600 were in 1,069 (69.3%) Non-alerted clusters.
Note: Case counts for race categories (American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, and White) are mutually exclusive and do not include persons of Hispanic ethnicity or multiple race. Multiple Race does not include persons of Hispanic ethnicity.
