Rebecca Eisen, PhD

Rebecca J. Eisen, Ph.D. is a Research Biologist in CDC’s Bacterial Diseases Branch, Division of Vector-Borne Diseases, National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases. She joined CDC’s Bacterial Diseases Branch in 2005, initially as a fellow and thereafter as Research Biologist. Dr. Eisen earned a B.S. in Biology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1995 and a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Vermont, Burlington in 2000. She did her post-doctoral training in Medical Entomology at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2000-2005. She has authored or co-authored more than 130 peer-reviewed publications focused primarily on vector-borne disease ecology and medical entomology.
