മേഘപ്പുലി

ഹിമാലയൻ താഴ്‌വരകൾ മുതൽ തെക്ക് കിഴക്കൻ ഏഷ്യ വരെ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു മാർജ്ജാരനാണ് മേഘപ്പുലി (Clouded Leopard). Neofelis nebulosa എന്നതാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ശാസ്ത്രനാമം.

വളരെ അപൂർവമായിമാത്രം കാണപ്പെടുന്ന മേഘപ്പുലികൾ ഇന്ന് 10,000 ൽ താഴെ മാത്രമേ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇവ പശ്ചിമ ബംഗാൾ, സിക്കിം, അരുണാചൽ പ്രദേശ്‌, മണിപ്പൂർ, മേഘാലയ,മിസോറം,നാഗാലാ‌ൻഡ് ,ത്രിപുര എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. [3][4][5]
