নারীত্ব

নারীত্ব (আরোও বলা হয় মেয়েলীপনা,[1] বালিকাসুলভ, নারীসুলভ, স্ত্রীজাতি বা নারীজাতি) বলতে সাধারণত মেয়ে এবং নারীদের সাথে জড়িত আচরণ, চরিত্র ইত্যাদী গুণাবলীকে বোঝানো হয়। নারীত্ব সমাজ দ্বারা নির্মিত, কিন্তু শারীরিক গঠন ও সামাজিক উভয়ভাবেই নির্ধারিত হয়।[2][3][4] জৈবিক মহিলা লিঙ্গের সংজ্ঞা থেকে এটা স্বতন্ত্র বিধায়,[5][6] পুরুষ এবং মহিলা উভয়ের মধ্যেই মেয়েলি বৈশিষ্ট্য বিদ্যমান থাকতে পারে। এন্ড্রোজিন পুংলিঙ্গ এবং স্ত্রীলিঙ্গ বা মেয়েলি চারিত্রিক বৈশিষ্ট্যের সংমিশ্রণ।

ঐতিহ্যগতভাবে মেয়েলি হিসেবে উল্লেখ বৈশিষ্ট্যগুলো কোমলতা, নম্রতা, সমানুভূতি,সহনশীলতা এবং সংবেদনশীলতা,[7][8][9] যদিও নারীত্ব সঙ্গে যুক্ত বৈশিষ্ট্য অবস্থান এবং প্রেক্ষাপটে উপর নির্ভর করে, এবং বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক কারণের দ্বারা প্রভাবিত হয়।[10][11] নারীত্বের প্রতিরুপ পুরুষত্ব।

ইতিহাস
ভেনাসের জন্ম (১৪৮৬, উফিজি) সান্দ্রো বত্তিসেল্লি দ্বারা আঁকা নারীত্বের একটা ধ্রুপদী উপস্থাপনা।[12][13] ভেনাস প্রধানত প্রেম, সৌন্দর্য এবং উর্বরতা সঙ্গে যুক্ত রোমান দেবী।

তারা উইলিয়াম মনে করে, নারীত্বের আধুনিক ধারণা ইংরেজি মধ্যযুগে বিউবোনিক প্লেগের সময় দ্বাদশ শতকে মধ্যে শুরু হয়।[14] প্রারম্ভিক মধ্য যুগে নারীদের কেবল তাদের ঐতিহ্যগত ভূমিকা মধ্যে কুমারী, স্ত্রী, অথবা বিধবা বলে উল্লেখ করা হত।[14]:৪ কালো মৃত্যু ইংল্যান্ডে প্রায় অর্ধেক জনসংখ্যা বিলুপ্ত হবার পর, স্ত্রী এবং মা-এর ঐতিহ্যগত লিঙ্গ ভূমিকা পরিবর্তন ঘটে, এবং সমাজে নারীর বিভিন্ন সুযোগ উম্মুক্ত হয়। বিচক্ষণ অ্যালেন সন্ধান করে, "নারী" ধারণা এই সময়ে কিভাবে পরিবর্তিত হয়।[15] নারীত্ব এবং নারীসমাজ শব্দগুলি ১৩৮০-এর কাছাকাছি জিওফ্রে চসার প্রথম নথিভুক্ত করেন।[16][17]
