Block Lists

How to Build These Modules

The reusable List Module has multiple display options. The examples on this page show a variety of display combinations combined with the “block” paragraph style. (There are three paragraph styles for list modules:  “block,” “bulleted,” and “numbered.”) Some options are set in the reusable content item. Others are usage-specific options that are set when the list is inserted into a page. Note that, of the three paragraph styles, block is the most flexible because it works well with icons and images.

Options in Reusable List Item

Title: Enter a display title for the module. (When inserting a list module, you can override the Title.  You can also check “Hide Title” to prevent the title from displaying on the published page. The usage-specific hide option is valuable if you are inserting the list into a tab/accordion section and want to avoid displaying both a tab/accordion section title and a module title.)

“More” Link Target Page: Enter a URL if you want the “More” link to display, as illustrated by several examples on this page. (This value can be overridden or removed upon insertion.)

Title Link Target Page: Enter a URL if you want the title to function as a link. (This value can be overridden or removed upon insertion.)

Graphic:  You can set the graphic type to None, Icons, or Images. All three graphic treatments are illustrated by the various examples on this page.

Link Descriptions: To display descriptions for links, ensure that the Link Descriptor Text is set for each link as applicable (examples 1 and 5).

Usage-Specific Options

Layout:  Set to 1, 2, or 3 columns. This page includes examples in 1- and 2-column layouts.

Paragraph Style: Set to “Block.”

Box Style:  The examples on this page are of various box styles (e.g., “Heading Emphasis,” “Dropshadow,” “Theme-Based Light”).  The box style is indicated in the module title. Note that there are new “heading emphasis” box styles.

Enable Horizontal Flow:  For multi-column layouts, check this option to have the list flow horizontally instead of vertically.  See the example for “More Information” Box Style for an example of horizontal flow.
