Draft National Construction Sector Agenda
December 2007
Note that this version has been replaced with a more current one.
The NORA Construction Sector Council requested comments from individuals and organizations on the draft of the "National Construction Agenda" presented below.
This preliminary draft National Construction Agenda consisted of fourteen strategic goals designed to address ten "top problems" over the decade. There were seven goals related to specific types of occupational injuries and illnesses and seven goals related to contributing factors. Each goal had a performance measure to help gauge progress, and intermediate goals to describe the smaller steps needed to achieve the strategic goal. The council thought the ten areas represented important construction topics where research and combined industry efforts were needed over the decade.
Comments on the draft priorities, especially in relation to the most appropriate intermediate goals, and offers from organizations to commit to advancing goals through partnerships were of particular interest to the council.
