Fire Fighter Fatality Investigation Reports

Through the Fire Fighter Fatality Investigation and Prevention Program, NIOSH conducts investigations of fire fighter line-of-duty deaths to formulate recommendations for preventing future deaths and injuries. The program does not seek to determine fault or place blame on fire departments or individual fire fighters, but to learn from these tragic events and prevent future similar events. Health Hazard Evaluations

A Health Hazard Evaluation is a study of a workplace that is done to learn whether workers are exposed to hazardous materials or harmful conditions and to provide recommendations for protecting these workers. More than 100 Health Hazard Evaluation Reports have been published related to Public Safety workers. You can search for reports of interest. A few examples are:
