NORA Sector Agendas

The National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) is a partnership program to stimulate innovative research and improved workplace practices. NORA uses a sector and cross-sector based approach to define and meet high priority needs through NORA Councils . The councils develop priorities for the nation and encourage partnerships to address those areas and promote improved workplace practices, all using open processes. These documents are called sector agendas. After considering public comments on a draft version, sector agendas are considered finalized, although each sector council considers its sector agenda to be a “living” document subject to updating as necessary.

NORA Agendas from the second decade (2006-2016), which used an exclusively sector-based approach, are listed below. Councils will write new agendas for the third decade of NORA (2016-2026), which will include the sectors as well as new health and safety cross-sectors.
