It was formed in 2016 for the third decade of NORA. The Council seeks to facilitate the most important research, understand the most effective intervention strategies, and learn how to implement those strategies to achieve sustained improvements in workplace practice. Progress on IID Objectives
The IID Cross-Sector Council has identified 6 objectives for the National Occupational Research Agenda. These objectives are currently being refined by the Council.

Cross-Sector Description

The IID Cross-Sector focuses on work-related immune diseases, such as irritant and allergic contact dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma, or infectious disease, caused by work-related exposures. It also includes workplace exposures to chemicals that can be absorbed through contact with skin that may result in adverse health impacts.

Information is available about the NIOSH Immune, Infectious and Dermal Disease Prevention Program, which facilitates the work of the Council
