James A Ferguson Emerging Infectious Diseases Fellowship Opportunities for students interested in participating in infectious diseases and health disparities research. Ferguson Fellows are encouraged to submit their research to national meetings and for publication. |

Occupational Medicine Rotation Through on-site investigations, medical evaluations, exposure assessments, students get the opportunity to evaluate workplace health hazards, talk with employees and employers, and gain new knowledge first hand. |
Medical residents of any specialty | 4 Weeks, unpaid resident/program bears costs of travel to/from Cincinnati where NIOSH offices are based and the cost of housing in Cincinnati; NIOSH will pay for any site visit related travel costs. | We are currently booked until mid-2019 and will not be accepting applicants until further notice. |

| General Interest | *Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program (SRCOSTEP) Those selected for the program will become Commissioned officers in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) and receive full pay and benefits of an active duty officer. In return for financial assistance, SRCOSTEP participants agree to work for the USPHS sponsoring agency as a Commissioned Corps officer immediately after graduation. The service obligation is equal to twice the time sponsored. |
