Nursing *AACN-CDC Fellowship
Fellows learn in the area of population health and gain hands-on experiences at the community level to enhance their preparation for professional practice.

Laboratory APHL-CDC Infectious Diseases Laboratory Fellowship Program
Fellows train for careers in public health laboratories and support public health initiatives related to infectious disease research.
Master’s degree 1 Year, paid APHL is not currently accepting applications for this program. Please check back in the fall of 2017 to apply for the 2018 program.
Leadership/Management *ASPPH/CDC Public Health Fellowship Program
Training and experience in public health and prevention practice, informatics, and policy.
Those with a MPH or doctoral degree prior to the beginning of the fellowship 1-2 Years, paid TBD
Epidemiology CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellowship Program
Rigorous on-the-job training in applied epidemiology and public health at a state or local health agency.
Master’s or doctoral degree in epidemiology or related field 2 Years, paid October to January
Evaluation CDC Evaluation Fellowship
Fellows work under the leadership of CDC’s Chief Evaluation Officer expand the capacity of CDC to conduct evaluation and demonstrate the impact of our work.

Health Education/Communication *DHPE Health Equity Fellowship Program
The goal of this fellowship program is to address emerging needs of health equity, public health and health disparities, and to provide leadership and professional opportunities at state and local health departments for recent graduates and doctoral level students of schools and programs of public health.

Epidemiology Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) EIS officers serve on the front lines of public health protecting Americans and the global community as “boots on the ground” epidemiologists. CDC’s EIS officers respond to outbreaks of diseases and urgent public health threats by identifying the cause, rapidly implementing control measures, and collecting evidence to recommend how to prevent similar events in the future. Physicians, veterinarians, doctoral-level scientists. General Interest Pathways for Recent Graduates Program
The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs.
Undergraduates; graduate students; doctoral students; recent graduates who have completed, within the previous two years, a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution. 1 Year, paid Ongoing
Global Health PHI/CDC Global Public Health Fellowship Program The fellowship offers training and experience in the field of global public health. Fellows work in CDC offices in the U.S. and abroad. Areas of focus are program management, epidemiology, surveillance, monitoring & evaluation, and HIV/AIDS prevention. Recent graduates with a MPH or doctoral degree prior to the beginning of the fellowship 1-3 Years, paid TBD
Management/ Leadership Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program
Leadership experience focused on interactive trainings and challenging work assignments administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

Preventive Medicine Preventive Medicine Fellowship (PMR/F)
Fellows promote leadership, integrating knowledge and skills of medicine and other clinical professions with population health.
Physicians who do not meet eligibility criteria for PMR and veterinarians or nurses with a Masters in Public Health or equivalent degree 1 Year, paid July to August
General Interest Public Health Associate Program (PHAP)
Two year, field-based training program for early career public health professionals with little or no public health work experience who are interested in frontline public health practice.
Graduates with a minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited college or university, within 2 years of graduation. Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or U.S. national. 2 Years, paid Five-day period in January
Informatics Public Health Informatics Fellowship Program (PHIFP)
Opportunities to apply computer and information science to help solve public health problems.
Master’s or doctoral degree students 2 Years, paid August to November
Health Education/ Communication SOPHE/CDC Student Fellowship in Injury Prevention and Control Students are empowered to recognize practice-based projects and prevention of unintentional injuries from the perspective of health education or behavioral sciences. Master’s or doctoral degree students majoring in health education, health promotion, behavioral sciences or a related field. 1 Year, paid February to May
