Fellows are assigned to APHL-member state public health laboratories where they will receive training based on the customized needs of the host laboratory.

General Interest Pathways for Recent Graduates Program
The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs.
Undergraduates; graduate students; doctoral students; recent graduates who have completed, within the previous two years, a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution. 1 Year, paid Ongoing
General Interest Public Health Associate Program (PHAP)
Two year, field-based training program for early career public health professionals with little or no public health work experience who are interested in frontline public health practice.
Graduates with a minimum of a four-year degree, within 2 years of graduation. U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or U.S. national. 2 Years, paid Five-day period every January
