Laboratory Biochemical Markers
Involves developing and applying new methods to characterize and quantitate biochemical markers that are relevant in environmental exposures and chronic diseases.

Environmental Health CDC Summer Graduate Environmental Health (GEH) Internship
Projects where students utilize skills acquired through graduate studies and personal experiences, and activities that expose them to many facets of environmental health.

Ethics CDC-Tuskegee University Public Health Ethics Student Internship
Summer internship students interested in public health ethics. Interns work with mentors from across the agency to develop projects applying public health ethics principles. They also gain opportunities to become familiar with the CDC workplace and observe the principles of public health ethics in practice on a daily basis.

Health Education/Communication *DHPE Health Equity Internship Program
Offers a unique internship opportunity to prepare students of federally designated minority-serving institutions (MSIs) to apply academic skills and problem-solving to real-life work experiences while the public health programs they serve gain vitality and fresh perspectives from future leaders.

General Interest Emory Rollins Earn and Learn (REAL) Program
Work study practicum to gain real-world public health experience (e.g., federal, state, county, and other government agencies, as well as Emory-affiliated programs, for-profit, and nonprofit organizations throughout Atlanta).

Infectious Diseases James A Ferguson Emerging Infectious Diseases Fellowship Opportunities for students interested in participating in infectious diseases and health disparities research. Ferguson Fellows are encouraged to submit their research to national meetings and for publication. General Interest *Junior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program (JRCOSTEP)
An opportunity for students to work in the same federal programs as active duty Commissioned Corps officers while completing a health-related education.
Undergraduates who have completed 2 years study in baccalaureate degree program or at least 1 year of study in a master’s or doctoral program

Environmental Health *National Environmental Public Health Internship Program (NEPHIP)
Current sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student at the time the application is submitted with majority of courses in environmental health focus areas. Students who apply must be from National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC) accredited environmental health academic programs.

General Interest Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program (SRCOSTEP)
Those selected for the program will become Commissioned officers in the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) and receive full pay and benefits of an active duty officer. In return for financial assistance, SRCOSTEP participants agree to work for the USPHS sponsoring agency as a Commissioned Corps officer immediately after graduation. The service obligation is equal to twice the time sponsored.
