ബ്രിസ്ബെയ്ൻ

ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെ ക്യൂൻസ്ലാന്റ് പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനവും രാജ്യത്തെതന്നെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട നഗരങ്ങളിലൊന്നുമാണ് ബ്രിസ്ബെയ്ൻ. ഒരു ആഗോള നഗരമാണിത്.ബ്രിസ്ബെയ്ൻ നദീതീരത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നതിനാലാണ് നഗരത്തിന് ആ പേർ ലഭിച്ചത്[1]. രാജ്യത്തെ പുരാതനനഗരങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് ബ്രിസ്ബെയ്ൻ.ഏകദേശം 23 ലക്ഷത്തോളം ആളുകൾ ഈ നഗരത്തിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നു.1982 ലെ കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസ്,2014ലെ ജി 20 ഉച്ചകോടി എന്നിവയ്ക്കും ബ്രിസ്ബെയ്ൻ ആതിഥേയത്വം വഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്[2][3] .
