- Combined expenditures by all states and DC for tobacco prevention and control activities was $658.15 million.
- Combined expenditures by all states and DC for tobacco prevention and control activities were $2.11 per capita.
- Alaska and North Dakota were the only states funding tobacco control programs at CDC-recommended levels.
- Eight states funded tobacco control programs at 50%or more of CDC-recommended levels (Alaska, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Wyoming).
- Thirteen states funded tobacco control programs at less than 10%of the CDC-recommended levels (Connecticut, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas).
