Current use of tobacco products by high school students in the United States, 2013

• Among high school students, 22.9% reported current use of any tobacco product, and 12.6% reported current use of >2 tobacco products.
• Among high school students, the prevalence of current use was greatest for cigarettes (12.7%), cigars (11.9%), smokeless tobacco (5.7%).

Current use of tobacco products by middle school students in the United States, 2013

• Among middle school students, 6.5% reported current use of any tobacco product, and 2.9% reported current use of >2 tobacco products.
• Among middle school students, the prevalence of current use was greatest for cigars (3.1%), cigarettes (2.9%), and pipes (1.9%).

Ever use of tobacco products by high school students in the United States, 2013

• Among high school students, 46.0% reported ever use of any tobacco product, and 31.4% reported ever use of >2 tobacco products.
• Among high school students, the prevalence of ever use was greatest for cigarettes (34.7%), cigars (30.5%), and hookahs (14.3%).
