- Among households with no adult smokers, national prevalence ranged from 56.7% during 1992–1993 to 91.4% in 2011–2012.
- Among households with no adult smokers, state-level prevalence ranged from 39.2% in Kentucky to 82.8% in Utah during 1992–1993, and from 82.9% in West Virginia to 97.3% in Utah during 2011-2012.
Prevalence of smoke-free home rules in homes with one or more adult smokers—United States, 1992–1993—2012–2013
- Among households with one or more adult smokers, the national prevalence increased from 9.6% during 1992–1993 to 46.1% during 2010–2011.
- Among households with one or more adult smokers, state-level prevalence ranged from 3.6% in Kentucky to 20.9% in Utah during 1992–1993, and from 27.2% in West Virginia to 68.4% in Utah during 2010–2011.
