Overview:

The need for continuity of operations plans (COOPs) has been well established and FEMA offers an outline for the general organization and content of COOPs. FEMA does not; however, recommend an efficient process for the development and maintenance of workable and practical COOPs. The development of efficient and effective COOPs requires considerable strategic thinking, the participation of key organizational personnel, and the development of detailed time-specific implementation plans. During this webinar the presenters from the: South Central Preparedness & Emergency Response Learning Center (SCPERLC) will discuss the process, known as FCOOP (Focused Continuity of Operations Planning) and how it can be a simple, structured, participative, efficient, and effective process for developing and maintaining COOPs.

Title: Use and Application of the Texas Public Health Risk Assessment Tool

Overview:

During the past year, Training and Education Collaborative System Preparedness & Emergency Response Learning Center (TECS-PERLC) has engaged with state and regional partners in various roles related to the Texas Tool for Public Health Risk Assessment (Texas Tool). The Texas Tool, an evidence-based risk assessment tool, determines hazard, residual risk scores, and resource availability for 41 hazards, and the ability to respond using the PHEP capabilities. During this webinar the presenter, discussed the development of the tool, the use and application of the tool’s strategies and activities document, and ongoing efforts for continued use of the tools.

Title: Designing and Delivering Relevant Public Health Preparedness Training: Adapting Tier I Training for State and Local Health Departments
