NIOSH OMSHR sponsored a free workshop on Reducing Workplace Accidents through Risk Based Analysis.

Specifically, the workshop addressed the Major Hazard Risk Assessment process and how it's applied in the workplace, demonstrated its use through classroom exercises, and discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the process. Floyd Varley, Supervisory Mining Engineer, NIOSH, and Anthony Iannacchione, Ph.D., ATI Consulting, LLC led the workshop.
