Mining Fact Sheets

Introduction

Mining Fact Sheets covering a variety of topics of general interest relating to mining operations, employees, fatalities, and nonfatal lost-time, are available for overall mining, by industry sector, and by commodity. These fact sheets contain interesting facts, graphs, and data tables. The format from 2000 through 2008 consisted of individual fact sheets for each commodity. Beginning with 2009, the format changed to a single-web page with sections for overall and the major mining industry sectors. Several graphs and data tables are included and further fact sheets are under development. Larger collections of graphs, tables, and maps summarizing a variety of information for the most current year are available under Mining Statistics.
