State and Local Funding

Through CDC’s Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Infectious Diseases (ELC) Cooperative Agreement, CDC is able to fund state and local health departments in efforts to promote appropriate antibiotic use in the outpatient setting. Funded states receive technical assistance from the Get Smart: Know When Antibiotics Work program. Learn more about the ELC Cooperative Agreement.
