CHIIC holds quarterly public meetings to identify Informatics challenges and present the results of completed or in progress innovative activities.

- Harvard Medical School’s Dr. Kenneth D. Mandl shares his experience in using informatics to digest, distill and disseminate vast streams of public health data tailored to individual health needs.
- Mandl developed a widely adopted (SMART)–substitutable iPhone-like apps that run universally on health IT systems giving patients and doctors access to an “app store for health that accesses data in EHRs and fits within the workflow. His work is a game changer in providing the real-time information that is needed at the right moment.
