Center for Health, Work & Environment EOH Seminar Series

Within the Colorado School of Public Health, the Center for Health, Work & Environment partners with the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health to host an interdisciplinary seminar series presenting new and emerging trends on a wide range of topics. NIOSH Webinar: “Disability Prevention Research: A Look to the Future”

Jointly sponsored by the NIOSH Center for Workers’ Compensation Studies (CWCS) and the NIOSH Office for Total Worker Health® (TWH), this 2015 webinar discusses priorities for disability prevention research and lessons learned from secondary prevention in Colorado and Washington. Topics include: trends in medical care provision, the links between quality of care and development of long-term disability, and the far-reaching impacts research in this area may have beyond workers’ compensation systems.

CPH-NEW Healthy Workplace Training Webinar Series

The Center for the Promotion of Health in the New England Workplace (CPH-NEW) Total Worker Health® Center for a Healthier Workforce launched a Healthy Workplace Training Webinar Series to demonstrate how to use the resources in the Healthy Workplace Participatory Program online toolkit. Past webinar presentations are available on the CPH-NEW website, and provide insight into the Intervention Design and Analysis Scorecard (IDEAS), a step-by-step tool used to identify the causes of work-related safety and health concerns and to design appropriate interventions.

This webinar training series will teach you how to use specific components of the CPH-NEW Healthy Workplace Participatory Program toolkit, adapting them to your organization’s needs. The materials are suitable for organizations at any level of experience with worksite health and safety programs.

Total Worker Health is the focus of this joint ISSA/NIOSH-CDC Webinar on the subject of Preventing Slips, Trips and Falls.
