ERGONOMIC INTERVENTIONS IN SHIPYARDS

Hazard: Supplies and materials are often delivered throughout the shipyard in large metal bins. Workers must bend over the edge of the bin to reach material at the bottom of the bin. These actions may cause stress to the worker's back and shoulders.

Solution: A tilting pallet jack can tilt bins toward the worker to allow easier access to the material minimizing back and shoulder stress.
