ERGONOMIC INTERVENTIONS IN SHIPYARDS
Hazard: Haphazard storage of material or kitting of supplies need to complete work on a block may result in tripping hazards and stress to workers' backs when lifting material off floor (see photo 1).
Solution: Orderly elevated storage of materials near the work area eliminate tripping hazards and places material between knee and shoulder height for easier lifting (see photo 2).
