Carrying Paint Can (one-handed)

ERGONOMIC INTERVENTIONS IN SHIPYARDS
Hazard: Carrying heavy paint cans one-handed is stressful to the hand, arm and back (see photo 1). Carrying paint cans on shoulders is stressful to the neck and shoulder (see photo 2). Paint cans must be carried from the dock onto ship to needed location.
Solution: When possible store paint needed that day on board vessel instead of dockside to reduce distance that the paint must be carried by the worker.
