Continuing Education Requirements

Continuing education for this activity is pending. See final announcement for details.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The conference organizers will be applying for continuing education credits for interested participants through the CDC's authority to grant credits. To comply with application requirements, you must submit, with your abstract, the following:

  • Educational Objective related to the abstract submitted and stated in measurable terms (one is required, but you may submit up to three – reference Blooms Taxonomy for appropriate definitions and verbs). Educational Objectives must be singular and supportive of the objective of the proposed track or the overarching conference objective.
  • Bio/Disclosure Form - One form per presenter must be submitted with each abstract. Expertise and education details must be specific to the subject content of the abstract. All sections and fields must be completed. If not applicable enter N/A.
  • Speaker Agreement Form – One per presenter for each abstract (this form allows the conference organizers to include an abstract and the name of the authors/presenters in official conference publications and to record audio and/or video of the presenter.)
  • One CV or resume must be submitted for each presenter via the abstract submission system.

PLEASE NOTE: The electronic abstract submission system will not accept your abstract without the completed forms/documents listed above. These forms are provided electronically on the Web site. You will be allowed to type your name or provide an electronic signature to sign the forms. If an abstract that is submitted with the forms listed above is not selected for a poster or oral presentation, the forms will be destroyed and not used for any other purpose.
