Abstract: In this pilot Healthy Homes program, client-identification partners include faith-based and community childcare centers and Healthy Start. To evaluate and compare the effectiveness of these partnerships, many indicators and activities in the projects were designed to overlap. Thus, for maximum effectiveness during the pilot project, these projects should be implemented in tandem.

During and after the trial period of the pilot project, the indicators may be analyzed. Aspects of the program that have been successful may be continued, and elements that have not been so successful may be altered or discontinued. Also, if Miami-Dade County Health Department staff find that one client identification partnership has been much more successful than has the other, they can modify or scale back the less successful partnership program. With continual monitoring and, when necessary, revision of the program, the Healthy Homes program for the Miami-Dade County Health Department promises to be successful.
