The District of Columbia has received 3-year funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for lead poisoning prevention programmatic activities. In fiscal year 2014, the District of Columbia received $345,958 in direct funds for these efforts.

Municipal Water Information

Most of CDC’s work related to lead in water has occurred in the District of Columbia (DC), where approximately 23,000 homes have lead-based water service lines. The DC Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) has information to help people with lead service lines.
