MMWR Instructions for Authors

Before submitting a report, authors should carefully read and follow the standards for writing an MMWR  Weekly and Serial Publication (i.e., Recommendations and Reports, Surveillance Summaries, and Supplements). Reports submitted to MMWR  that are substantially not in accordance with these standards will be returned to the authors for rewrite and resubmission. Adhering closely to these standards will result in a smoother production process for authors and the MMWR  production team.

Instructions for Continuing Education

The MMWR office is now offering continuing education credit for the Weekly reports. We now require that all authors and co-authors listed submit 1) a financial disclosure form and 2) a short bio form OR a recent CV once the report has been accepted. Send all to Barbara Stallworth at bys5@cdc.gov or fax to (404) 498-2388. A typed signature on the disclosure form is sufficient. We also need the Corresponding Author to submit 2 or 3 content questions with answers.
