Nonfatal Injury Reports Tutorial

This tutorial provides a step-by-step overview to getting started with (WISQARS™) Nonfatal Injury Reports. The purpose of the tutorial is to help you access injury data quickly and easily.

1.1 Introduction
WISQARS nonfatal provides data in these report types: nonfatal injury reports, leading causes of nonfatal injury reports, and cost of injury reports. A nonfatal injury report gives you detailed statistical estimates about a particular injury cause or intent for a particular population. A leading causes of nonfatal injury report gives you information about the most common causes of injury for a specific intent or population. A cost of injury report gives you cost of injury estimates for nonfatal injuries classified either by intent and mechanism or by body region and nature of injury.

1.2 Report Type
Choose from nonfatal injury reports, cost of injury reports, and leading causes of injury reports.

Each type of report offers different report options.

Each type of report offers different advanced report options. While these options are not required for submitting a report request, they allow you to customize information further.
