CDC’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 President’s Budget Request

CDC’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Appropriation
On Friday May 5, 2017, President Trump signed an omnibus appropriation bill for FY 2017. The bill includes an overall CDC program funding level of $7.2 billion, a decrease of $13.2 million compared to FY 2016.

The FY 2017 omnibus funds the Injury Center’s programs at $286 million, an increase of $50 million above the FY 2016 enacted level. The $50 million increase is to support opioid overdose prevention activities, while all other budget lines remain level with FY 2016. For more information, visit CDC’s FY 2017 Operating Plans.
