தாவீதின் நகர்

தாவீதின் நகர் (City of David, எபிரேயம்: עיר דוד‎, அரபு மொழி: مدينة داوود) என்பது எருசலேம் பகுதியில் அமைந்த புராதன குடியேற்ற இடமும் விவிலிய எருசலேம் அடையாளத்தின்படி பாரிய தொல்பொருள் இடமும் ஆகும்.[1][2][3] இது கோவில் மலையிலிருந்து தெற்கே செல்லும் குறுகிய நிலக்கூம்பு ஆகும். இது வெண்கல யுகத்தில் சுவர் கொண்ட நகராகவும், பாரம்பரியத்தின்படி தாவீது அரசர் இங்கு தன் அரண்மனையினை கட்டி தன் தலைநகரை நிறுவிய இடமாகவும் உள்ளது. தாவீதின் நகர் இயற்கையாகவே மேற்கில் தைரோபன் பள்ளத்தாக்கு, தெற்கில் கின்னம் பள்ளத்தாக்கு, கிழக்கில் கிதரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்கு மற்றும் வழுக்கும் பள்ளத்தாக்கினால் பாதுகாப்பப்பட்டது.
