ডেমোজিল সারস

ডেমোজিল সারস (Anthropoides virgo) হল সারস প্রজাতির অন্তর্ভুক্ত একধরনের পাখি, যাদেরকে মধ্য এশিয়াতে পাওয়া যায়। এরা প্রধানত কৃষ্ণ সাগর, থেকে মঙ্গোলিয়া হয়ে উত্তর-পুর্ব চীনে বসবাস করে। এছাড়া তুরস্কতেও এদের কিছু পরিবার বসবাস করে। এরা পরিযায়ী সারস। পশ্চিম ইউরেশীয়ার পাখিরা শীতকালে আফ্রিকাতে পরিযান করে এবং মঙ্গোলিয়া ও চীনের পাখিরা ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশে শীতকালে পরিযান করে। এই পাখিদের উত্তর ভারতে সংস্কারের চিহ্ন হিসেবে মানা হয় এবং এদের উত্তর ভারতে কুঞ্জ নামে ডাকা হয়ে থাকে।[2]
