Insulin
	কম্পিউটারে সৃষ্ট ছয়টি ইনসুলিন অণুর হেক্সামার, যা ত্রি-পার্শ্বীয় প্রতিসম। এখানে গাঢ় রঙের জিংক আয়ন দেখা যাচ্ছে। ইনসুলিন দেহে হেক্সামার হিসেবে জমা থাকে। তবে মনোমারটি সক্রিয়।[1]

ইনসুলিন(ইংরেজি: Insulin), হলো অগ্ন্যাশয়ের প্রধান হরমোন,এক ধরনের পলিপ্যাপটাইড, যা গ্লুকোজকে রক্ত থেকে কোষের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করা নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে। ইনসুলিন অগ্ন্যাশয়ের ইনসুলিন নিঃসরণকারী কোষগুলো (আইল্যেটস অব ল্যাঙ্গারহেন্স-এর বিটা কোষ) থেকে নিঃসৃত হয়। মূলত ডায়েবেটিস মেলাইটাস এ ইনসুলিন ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে।[2] ইনসুলিন খুব পুরানো প্রোটিন যা কয়েক বিলিয়ন বছর আগে উদ্ভাবিত হয়েছে।
