We need accurate and timely data that direct decisions, technology that keeps pace with our need for speed, and research that reaches across CDC and beyond. The mission of the Office of Public Health Scientific Services is to lead, promote, and facilitate science standards and policies to reduce the burden of diseases in the United States and globally.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Surveillance Strategy
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Surveillance Strategy aims to improve CDC’s overall surveillance capabilities and those of the public health system at large.

CDC Health Information Innovation Consortium (CHIIC) serves as a channel for innovative projects in CDC programs and collaborations with State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial agencies.

The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) compiles statistical information to guide actions and policies to improve the health of the U.S. population. As the Nation's principal health statistics agency, NCHS leads the way with accurate, relevant, and timely data.
