Policy and Regulatory Affairs
Policy and Regulatory Affairs ensures effective policies and regulations are in place to prevent the introduction, transmission, and interstate spread of communicable diseases in the United States and its territories.
Policy and Regulatory Affairs focuses on the following activities:
- Develops and coordinates policies to support Division and CDC missions
- Promulgates regulations, as needed, to protect public health (42 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 70, 71, and 34)
- Conducts and coordinates economic analyses to support regulatory activities and scientific studies
- Collaborates with other government agencies to advance policy and regulatory initiatives
