About the Program

The Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) program supported 50 communities working to reduce obesity and tobacco use–two top preventable causes of death and disability in the United States. More than 50 million people–or 1 out of 6 Americans–live in cities, towns, counties, or tribal communities that benefited from the program.
