Continuing Education

Getting Continuing Education (CME, CNE, CEU, CPH):

  1. After you complete each module, follow the link directing you to CDC Training and Continuing Education Online. (Note: Each module has either 2 or 3 cases)
  2. Under Participant Services, create a new account or sign in to your existing account.
  3. Choose Search and Register on the main Participant Services page.
  4. Enter Autism Case Training or the course number in the Keyword Search box.
    1. Course Numbers:
      1. WB2769 = Identifying ASD
      2. WB2768 = Diagnosing ASD
      3. WB2770 = Managing ASD
  5. On the course module page, select the type of Continuing Education you need (CME, CNE, etc.)
  6. Fill in additional information about your position.
  7. Complete the evaluation and quiz for each module you’ve finished. (Note: Each module has either 2 or 3 cases)
  8. Print your CE certificate.

Getting American Board of Pediatrics Maintenance of Certification (MOC):

Pediatricians who complete all three modules and provide an accurate American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) number will be credited 20 points toward Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part 2 through ABP.

  1. Complete all three Autism Case Training modules (Identifying, Diagnosing, and Managing).  (Note: Each module has either 2 or 3 cases)
  2. Follow steps 1 - 7 above for CE credit after you finish each module (this includes the evaluation and quiz).
  3. Enter your ABP number when asked within the CE evaluation for each module. By entering your ABP number you are giving permission for the CDC to share your completion data with the American Board of Pediatrics through the Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

Your ABP transcript will reflect MOC Part 2 credit on the 10th of the next month. For example, courses completed December 1-December 31 will be credited January 10.

ABP will notify you by email when points have been applied.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn 20 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
