Captain Holly Billie serves as an Injury Prevention Specialist on the Transportation Safety Team in the Division of Unintentional Injury Prevention at the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. She is responsible for programs and projects related to transportation safety for American Indians and Alaska Natives.

Captain Billie joined CDC’s NCIPC in 2009 and has been working as a liaison with Indian Health Service since that time. Prior to 2009, she worked for eighteen years as an Environmental Health Officer for the Indian Health Service, focusing on tribal environmental health issues and on intentional and unintentional injury prevention.

Captain Billie graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Biology. She received her masters of public health from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center.
