The Gorham Manufacturing facility was located in Providence, Rhode Island. The facility once produced most of the country’s silverware, statues, memorials, and bronze work for buildings. The facility began operations in 1890. Milling, forging, heat treating, plating, lacquering, polishing, and degreasing metals were done at the site. Gorham Manufacturing operated until the facility was bought by Textron in 1967. Operations were stopped in 1986, and the facility was destroyed in 2001.
