ഹൈഡ്രാചിന്ത്യ

57 കുടുംബങ്ങളിലായി 6,000-ൽ അധികം ഇനങ്ങൾ അടങ്ങുന്ന വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ അടിത്തട്ടിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ആർത്രോപോഡ ആണ് ഹൈഡ്രാചിന്ത്യ - Hydrachnidia.[2][2] They are ubiquitous in nearly all freshwater habitats of every continent except Antarctica.[3] തോടുകൾ, ചതുപ്പുകൾ, മരപ്പൊത്തുകൾ, തടാകങ്ങൾ, വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയാണ് ഇവയുടെ ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥ.[4][1] മിക്കവാറും കടും ചുവപ്പുനിറത്തിൽ ഇവ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.[5]
