സ്ലോത്ത്

ഒരിനം സസ്തനി. മിക്കവാറും മരങ്ങളിലാണ് വാസം. ഏതാണ്ട് ആറ് സ്പീഷീസുകളിലായി കണ്ടുവരുന്നു. വളരെ പതുക്കെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ജീവികൾ എന്ന അർത്ഥത്തിലാണ് സ്ലോത്ത് എന്നു പേരുവീണത്. (slow moving). ഇലകളും മുകളങ്ങളും ഒക്കെയാണ് ഇവയുടെ ഭക്ഷണം. ചില സ്പീഷീസുകൾ ചെറുകീടങ്ങളെയും ഉരഗങ്ങളെയും പക്ഷികളെയും മറ്റും ഇടയ്ക്ക് ആഹാരമാക്കാറുണ്ട്.
