മഞ്ഞച്ചിന്നൻ

വലിപ്പവും,ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആകൃതി,നിറം എന്നിവയിലുള്ള ചെറിയ വ്യത്യാസം ഒഴിവാക്കിയാൽ തവിടൻ ബുൾബുളുമായി സാമ്യമുള്ള ഒരു പക്ഷിയാണ് മഞ്ഞച്ചിന്നൻ[2] [3][4][5] (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Acritillas indica) (Yellow-browed Bulbul).

പ്രത്യേകതകൾ

ഇതിന്റെ തലയിൽ ശിഖയില്ല.മഞ്ഞകലർന്ന പച്ചനിറത്തിലാണ് മഞ്ഞച്ചിന്നനെ കാണുന്നത്. 'പുരിക'അടയാളം നല്ലതുപോലെ തെളിഞ്ഞുകാണാം. കറുത്തകൊക്കും, ചുവന്ന കണ്ണുകളും, ചിറകുകളുടെ കീഴ്പകുതി തവിട്ടുനിറത്തിലുമാണ്. ശരീരത്തിനു 20 സെ.മീറ്റർ നീളമുണ്ട്. ചെറിയകൂട്ടങ്ങളായി ഇവ ഇരതേടുന്നത് കാണാവുന്നതാണ്.ടുയീ-ടുയീ എന്നപോലെ ചൂളം വിളിയും കേൾക്കാം. ശ്രീലങ്ക,ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ കാടുകൾ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ മഞ്ഞച്ചിന്നനെ സാധാരണകാണാം.[6]
