ഓവിപ്പോസിറ്റർ
ചില ജന്തുക്കൾ മുട്ട ഇടുവാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഒരു അവയവം ആണ് ഓവിപ്പോസിറ്റർ. മുട്ടയിടുവാനുള്ള സ്ഥാലം തയ്യാറാക്കുക, മുട്ട അവിടെ എത്തിക്കുക, നിക്ഷേപിക്കുക എന്നിവയാണ് ഈ അവയവത്തിന്റെ ധർമ്മം. പരാദങ്ങളായ പ്രാണികളിൽ ഈ അവയവം ആതിഥേയ ജീവിയെയോ മുട്ടയെയോ തുളക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. ചില പ്രാണികൾ ജീവനുള്ളതോ അല്ലാത്തതോ ആയ സസ്യങ്ങളിൽ ചെറിയ ദ്വാരങ്ങൾ ഇട്ടാണ് അവയിൽ മുട്ടകൾ നിക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നത്.[1][2][3] ചില പ്രാണികൾ മണ്ണിൽ കുഴി കുത്തുന്നു. കടന്നലുകളുടെ ഓവിപ്പോസിറ്റർ തന്നെയാണ് വിഷം കുത്തിവെക്കാനും ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.
